Darkness is one of the most frightening things that I believe humans have to live with. One of the reasons I have created this picture is because of how darkness has related to me. On several occasions I have awakened from a deep sleep only to see dark creepy figures hovering around my bed. I am awake and alert, and I know the things that I see are probably not real, but I cannot help but think "what if this time it's real?"
Love this Ryan! Reminds me of The Creep from "CREEPSHOW" 1982. Just beautiful my friend!
I hate it when that happens to me. >_<
Then make friend with the dark as i make Death my company.
That's an interesting phrase. I think it matches the picture quite well. Thanks.
I love the drawings. They're a really nice touch to convey that this has happened before!
The 3 winning entries are good decorative art.
Had I suspected that was what was really desired
by the judges, I would've submitted accordingly.
Congrats to the winners.
i don't know what else to say... LOVE IT!!!!!
The unexpected visitor
It reminds me Poltergeist movie
Yeah, I guess it does have a little kid as the main object of haunt just like the movie.
I love the details in this piece! Like the pictures on the walls and the floor depicting this scary monster. And the lighting effects are awesome. This piece is just gorgeous. And creepy of course.
Congrats for your win!!
The Crypt-Keeper is an uber-creeper!
Awesome job on your entry for the contest and congrats for winning 2nd place!

This is just perfection! Congrats on earning yourself 2nd place in the contest! I just love it so much and I envy your talent and imagination! Congrats again!
congrats on second!! you put a lot of detail in this, and I agree, darkness is one of the most frightening things we have to live with. In the dark your imagination runs wild, is the threat real? or am seeing things? ya just can't tell.
I know. One of the potentially most frightening questions are the "what ifs?" There are endless possibilities for the answer.
we had an aggressive dog that hid in our woods. It would charge my family and our own dog, but only came out a night. the "what ifs?" of a dangerous dog in a dark woods are endless.
I can imagine that. When I was younger I used to play with my friends in an orchard near our homes. We would do anything from playing airsoft during the day to playing hide n' seek at night. What if while we were playing in this orchard one of the kids just never returned? Did some animal get to them?
Beautiful yet scary
